5K Race / Walk
Children's Memorial 5K Race & Walk is October 31 in Scenic Downtown Milford
 The 9th Annual Children's Memorial 5K Road Race & Walk benefiting Boys & Girls Village will be held Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, and begins at 8:30 a.m. at Fowler Field.
The 5K course is certified by the Road Running Technical Council, USA Track & Field (Certificate # CT06018JHP).
It features a scenic romp through downtown Milford, the Green, the Long Island Sound shoreline and Milford Harbor districts. The route is relatively flat and has been moved from the hilly and more challenging 5K route of the race's first four years.
This year's 2010 race is again sponsored by BIC Corp., and features hundreds of dollars in runner's cash prizes. In addition, racers are encouraged to run in costume.
Runner's fee is $20 for those who pre-register and $25 on the day of the race. Day of race registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Fowler Field, Milford.
T-shirt and gift bag to first 200 registrants.
