| Welcome to the Charles F. Hayden School at Boys & Girls Village! The Hayden School is located on the 11-acre main campus of Boys & Girls Village in Milford, CT, where we were founded in 1984. We are a special education institution licensed by the Connecticut State Department of Education and certified through 2012. At the Charles F. Hayden School at Boys & Girls Village, we help boys and girls ages 6-15 achieve their full academic and social potential. We offer day educational services to students in grades K-8 with special needs, serving the greater New Haven, Bridgeport, Stamford and Waterbury regions. The goal of the Hayden School at Boys & Girls Village is to take students who have been unsuccessful in their home district schools and to make them academically successful. We do this with our proven educational model, featuring low student-to-teacher ratios (4:1), the innovative teaching of a rigid academic curriculum, along with a strong emphasis on the student learning acceptable “social skills” based on the original “Boys Town” behavioral model. The Charles F. Hayden School at Boys & Girls Village accepts referrals from all area school systems. If you would like to learn more about the Charles F.
