Foster & Adoptive Support Team (FAST)
The FAST program goal is to assist in the preservation of foster and adoptive homes, thereby reducing the number of placements experienced by children in the foster care system. Services may last up to three months.
Referrals are made by the state Department of Children & Families (DCF).
Through a behavioral specialist, the program provides the following services: Parent Education & Training includes teaching in behavior modification, de-escalation, child development, separation and loss issues, and abuse issues.
Our case management acts as liaison to DCF, as a source for information and referral and helps with educational advocacy for the child. We provide Emergency On-Call Support and Crisis Intervention. Our FAST program is designed to provide intensive, weekly, in home services to the foster and adoptive home.
