Ms. Mackson earned her MSW (concentration: Juvenile Delinquency Program Evaluation) from the George Warren Brown School at Washington University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Miami University in Ohio. Ms. Mackson brings years of experience working in program evaluation and direct service work.
Prior to joining BGV, Ms. Mackson worked oversaw the quality improvement department for another Connecticut nonprofit. For over six years, Ms. Mackson worked with senior leadership and direct service staff, as well as outside stakeholders, to define and measure outcomes for children in foster care in St. Louis and Louisiana. Ms. Mackson’s professional experience also includes designing and implementing a case management and outcome reporting system that is now in over 350 nonprofits nationwide, as well as working with incarcerated and recently-released youth in Indiana and with children in foster care in Missouri on goal-setting and re-entry planning, and rape crisis hotline advocacy in Cleveland, Ohio.
In her current role at BGV, Ms. Mackson directs the quality assurance and compliance department to fulfill—and align with—strategic priorities, including outcomes measurement and data management, accreditation and compliance with federal and local regulations, electronic health record maintenance and modification (documentation), client and staff satisfaction, and risk management. The overarching goals of BGV’s Quality/Compliance department are to ensure that services are quality driven, effective and adhere to various regulatory requirements.
