Spring 2022 Message from our CEO

Posted on

Dear friend of BGV,

It has indeed been a very difficult and trying two years. However, I am heartened by BGV’s resilience and ingenuity. BGV's leadership team and staff have continued to provide cutting-edge and compassionate services to our youth and families. This spring we will be ramping us some exciting initiatives that I would like to share with you...

We are pleased to announce the newest additions to our comprehensive array of services. We have been awarded the Youth Link Mentoring Program for the western half of CT and Quality Parenting Center for Milford. Later this spring we will implementing the CT Youth Recovery Program to support youth recovering from substance use and begin a much-needed renovation to our Charles F. Hayden lower school. The goal of this renovation is to offer our youngest students larger, more welcoming educational spaces and a greater opportunity for learning. Stay tuned for more to come on this project.

For 80 years, BGV has been committed to growing and expanding our services to greater populations in new service areas and we couldn't have done this without you! Because of your support, BGV continues to grow and move the mission of the agency forward in these extremely challenging times. Thank you for helping our youth and families build stronger foundations for brighter futures.

Sincerely,

Kim Shaunesey, Ph.D.
